Updated: Aug 24, 2022

The Dogon people are located in the beautiful lands of West Africa. They live in deep rural villages that allow them to be connected to Mother Nature and Divination. This is because they prone to be in that kind of lifestyle; a lifestyle of simplicity where all things manifests through spiritually. They much believe in spiritualism, while West Africa has adopted to the modern ways of Christianity and Islam, the Dogon People decide to stick to the ways of their ancestors, to strengthen their ancestral bloodline and make it to continue for generations.

They are very rich in their culture and wisdom. Their traditions are rooted from the Ancient history of Kemet; where they believe they come from the Cosmos of the star line called Sirius. They believe they are blood descendants of Kemet; the Nubian family.

The Dogon people are also famous for masquerade dancing and rituals. They also have statues and wall paintings in their households to represent themselves. In this modern day, we would often realise interior designers would imitate their drawings on furniture and home walls to bring people more closer to the Africanism. Such a very interesting history indeed! These are artistic ideas you can use to bring a spark in your home through the Dogon culture, art and wisdom
