PLACES CARNIVALS ARE TAKEN PLACE IN AFRICA & THE CARRIBEAN

Luanda; Angola

Angola; Known as the kingdom of Ndongo which means an iron object that symbolised kingship amongst the Mbundu and Lunda people. Economically known as an agricultural hub for Africa that produces Cassava, Bananas, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Citrus, Corn and Pineapples, the country still thrives stronger and bigger by each day especially with their music culture.

Afro Urban music goes so well with Latino beats when I think of Angola. The country has both the strong culture of an African traditional value and Portuguese. Their Music is often mixed in with Afro Urbanism and Portuguese beats; which makes sense why artists like Cabo Snoop are well known in Africa. The Capital; Luanda is famous for Education enhancement; which means the residents in the city take pride in their education. The City has the biggest and privileged universities such as Universidade Catolica de Angola and Agostinho Neto.

.Dances for Carnivals are common in the city as one can go and fufill the experience from within as a free soul. Angola is place I want to visit since it almost has an interesting culture of mixture of the Caribbean, Latino and African tradition. Such a very interesting place indeed

Calabar; Nigeria

EFIK EBURUTU, IFA IBOM EBURUTU IBOKU

Known as Tinapa’s Palace, Predominately populated by the Efik people in the Southern part of Nigeria and parts of Cameroon. Their language; Efik is a member of the Benue-Congo family of the Niger-Congo group. The traditions and cultures in this Kingdom are interesting as I learnt about THE FATTENING ROOM, EDIKANG IKONG SOUP, LANGUAGE AND EKOMBI DANCE. Calabar, one of the cities that draws tourists within a blink of an eye, the city has the most beautiful and attractive sites one can go to. Annual carnival events are

taken place too

Jacmel; Haiti

Previously written as the place of attractive colonial styled buildings. It is also a place filled with a beautiful beach and natural pools from waterfalls know Bassin-Bleu. This place is also a carnival festive as this is to enhance their cultural tradition and create a fun space for tourists as well. Haiti is not a bad place as many think it is. There so many people beautiful places around it, it is just that you are blind to see it

Formal Dressing, AKA Vintage Fashion was the heart and love of the generation of 1900s. Everyone loved to be dressed in such manner as it was a way or having “common sense” as they say, you will never go out with a hoodie at that time because you would be perceived otherwise. Going out to social and work events, these clothes were top tier as this established a culture of one having good morals spiritually and physically. People at those times were family orientated, because they were raised to united despite their backgrounds, hence why the family structure at that time was stronger. Family was not only classified amongst blood related members but everyone that you feel connected to. Especially with the melanated group, where they pulled all their resources, skills, intellect and expertise to make something better of themselves, because they believed largely in unity than being separated from each other. They implemented the term which states “united we rise and divided we fall” . Polygamy was also one of those factors implemented too, where families inter married each other for sake of economic and social power. Which led them to build something progressive about themselves, regardless of the opposition they faced politically, socially or economically. Some went to the most prestigious schools and became doctors, lawyers, bankers or accountants, and some where very successful in running a business. Which led them to build economically progressive cities and towns around them. Some became the most successful innovators and solution bringers in science and technology

Melanated people were stronger despite their circumstances, they were progressive in every area they touched. They also had good had morale, which influenced the younger genergation to be inspired to be like them. Which is why, there were no problems faced today in family structures such as single parenting hood, prostitution, drug/alcohol addiction, unresolved family fights and feuds, corruption etc. unfortunately all those things came into our lives because of our extreme focus on materialism and luxury than following our purpose. The evolution of the ''Black' Culture was strong at that time, especially in the African American community, which influenced the rest of the world positively.Movements such as Black Panther, including the urban culture of African American Soul and Pop music, which was the heart of the black nation, inspired a lot of black people all around the world to unite regardless of their background

Despite of the opposition they faced, black people always rose up, they are rising, and will always rise!
