Famouly born in the 1800s,Known as the Dutch Wax, a fabric that was high in demand and still highly demanded for printed cotton in West Africa due to it’s rich colour and intensity.The Ankara fabric is known for representation of colourful African ancient patterns. It tells mostly the stories in West Africa through political,social and economic struggle and as well the independence from Western World colonies. The fabric is moslty worn by many people from East and West Africa
SHWSHWE From the French Missioniries to Lesotho King called Moshoeshoe, him being the first to wear the cloth hence thats where name comes from. The Sheshwe clothing is from Southern Africa as was used to express the beauty of fashion in many than European vintage clothing. Till this day. This fabric is mostly dressed in Sotho, Tswana,Pied,Zulu people especially during special ceremonies like weddings or parties
